Where do I fit in?

Our church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities; we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. You will find on this page ways that you can learn, serve, and grow at this church.

Sunday School & Bible Studies
Small groups of people are often better able to interact, get to know one another, and learn about a topic more than a larger group. Small groups are far less intimidating and far more personal. For that reason; our church has Sunday School every Sunday morning, Adult Bible Study and Prayer on Wednesday nights and various Bible Studies throughout other times of the year. The size of the groups average anywhere from six to twelve people.

Youth Ministry
Our youth meet every Sunday morning and Wednesday nights. The youth group ministers to students from 7th grade up. The youth are engaged in a fun and casual setting where they are encouraged to participate and learn.

College/Career
Our College/Career group meets on Sunday Mornings and Wednesday nights.  This group is designed for our young adults from High School Graduates through 35 years old.  The group varies from young singles to couples beginning life together.  They strive to study, fellowship, and grow together to live out the life that the Lord has for them.

Ladies Ministry
Our Ladies Ministry gives the ladies in our church and community special times of interaction. The Ladies typically meet here at the Church once a month for times of fellowship, Bible study, mission outreach and prayer. This ministry provides a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church.

Men’s Ministry
The Men’s Ministry strives to encourage and develop men of all ages. The Men typically meet here at the Church on the first Saturday of every month for breakfast and a time of fellowship, Bible study, and prayer. This ministry provides a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the men in the church.

Over 50’s

Once you get past fifty the fun has just begun. Whether retired or active as ever; the over-50 group of Faith Baptist provides refreshment, ministry, and times of valuable interaction.

Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Church members are encouraged to get involved in any of a variety of ministries. Here are just a few areas that may be of interest to you:

AWANA
During the school year Faith Baptist hosts a thriving AWANA program for children from 2 years of age through 6th grade. AWANA is a global ministry with fully integrated evangelism and long-term discipleship programs for children that also actively involves parents and church leaders. Faith Baptist has had an active AWANA program for more than 25 years!

Baptism Team
Because baptism is such an important time in the life of God’s people, the baptism team will do all they can to make the day comfortable and special. They assist in the preparation of the baptistery and assist both the Pastor and the candidate on the day of baptism.

Children’s Church
Children are special to the Lord and to us at Faith Baptist as well. Children’s Church workers take the children ages 3 through Kindergarten during the time of the message of the worship service and teach them a lesson on their level.

Greeters
We here at Faith Baptist want our visitors to feel welcomed.  We utilize members of our Church family to greet and welcome our visitors.  Greeters are there to help with directions, to answer any questions that people may have, and to generally make our visitors feel comfortable.

Media & Technology
Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of this church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. All of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our website in video and audio formats. We also maintain an active Facebook and Twitter feed for additional church communication.

Missions Ministry Team
Faith Baptist is thrilled to be part of the spreading of God’s kingdom around the world. We are active in supporting missionaries both financially and with our prayers. We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means that they move to a foreign country or live and minister in our own community.

Music & Drama
God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music and drama ministry. Some play their instruments, some are vocalists, and others are involved in the praise team. Still others get involved in drama. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of our church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.

Prayer Warriors
Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Our Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Sunday, prior to the morning service, a prayer time is held. Throughout the week, volunteers from our Prayer Warriors team pray for their pastor, a list of church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs. Each Wednesday, the church comes together for a special time of prayer and Bible study.

Social & Host Team
Fellowship strengthens the relationships that believers have. From fellowship meals, Wednesday night suppers, or meals for those that have lost loved ones; the Social & Host team has the general oversight of all of the kitchen operations.

Ushers
The usher team at our church fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, guiding traffic, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, unlocking doors, locking doors, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The usher team is a servant-hearted group of men whose ministry is integral to church life.

Youth
Our ‘Alive 2 Thrive’ Youth group is for high school students from 7th to 12th grades.  Our students meet every Wednesday night for a time of fun, worship, and bible study.  Events are scheduled on regular basis to give our students a well rounded experience.  Our leaders strive to not only be active while the students are here at the Church but also in their extracurricular activities.
